To Hold Half

Close-up of a budding red rose with green leaves, slightly damaged. Blurred garden background with pink and orange blooms. Serene mood.

I hold my womb

I breathe to feel potential

There is life, yet

On hard days I picture your smile

On long days I imagine your laugh

On sad days I dance with you in my dreams

I hold my womb.

I ponder

If wanting could bring life

For now, all I have

Is tomorrow

Half of you

Has been with me

 since I was created

Half of you is someone.

I have yet met

I lay in a house

Holding my future

I lay in a house.

Wanting a Home
